#@: Timex Men s Watch T47871

I purchased this watch at another retailer, but I thought I would mention a few things. The watch has Indiglo backlight in which the whole face lights up in a blue-green color so that you see silhouettes of the hands and numbers. The digital display inversely lights up (the numbers light up rather than the whole display). I've found the watch to decently comfortable to wear, though because the straps are simply held in and swivel on the pins, it tends to rotate around my wrist rather than stay in one spot. Also, the acrylic window just barely sticks out above the bezel, so it's relatively easy to scratch and scuff by accident. Lastly, the watch that I have ticks much louder than I expected - at arm's length I can hear the tick of the second hand.

Totally agree the last reviewer - it is beautiful, well-crafted, came in all original packaging, etc. The diamonds around the face sparkle and are subtle - I was afraid they would look cheesy or fake. Only reason I didn't rate a 5 is b/c the clasp is difficult to use, even after 5 mos. I have a small wrist and the links are sized so that it is either tighter than I like or way too loose and floppy.

Our daughter (21 month old)loves these boots. We went to England for Christmas and needed something warm for her feet so we purchased these. They kept her feet nice and toasty and she was walking and running around in them fine. The elastic loop thing on the side for closing the boot onto her foot works great and makes it take only a matter of seconds to get the boot on and secured. I like this watch- it's inexpensive, keeps time, and has indiglo- the day and date is displayed where the number 3 would be and is very easy to read. The band fits well and is comfortable. The brass/gold face and brown band accent most apparel well.



Very frustrating:

I couldn't get the double crown feature to work (although the booklet says this watch has it)- I had to turn the hands quite a few times to end up on the right day of the week. It seems to only have the ability to set the time, and date not the day of the week. I have a skagen which has this feature - so i'm pretty sure it wasn't user error.

It looks like it should have cost a lot more than it did. It did have a plastic tag on it from Invicta stating the MSRP was $319. Who knows. I bought this watch when I misplaced my other Timex Ironman watch Timex Unisex Ironman 30-Lap Resin Strap Watch #T5K018. They're very similar, with a few exceptions:



1) The Titanium band is lighter

2) To reset the Chrono timer, the titantium band slightly digs into my forefinger when I hit the Stop/Reset button. It's midly annoying.

3) The review previous laps on the Titanium band, you have to first store the laps.



Even after I found the resin band watch, I still wear the Titanium banded watch. It's lighter, and it's nicer looking.

I don't understand why this is listed as a Men's watch on this site, when Invicta lists it as a Women's. No matter-I finally found this watch after looking long and hard for it. I saw it on TV, tried to order it online from another site, but wasn't quick enough. I have a small wrist, not quite 6 inches, and was concerned that it might overpower it, but 4 links were taken out, and voila! Perfect fit. I own several other Invicta watches, but this one has quickly become one of my favorites-easy to read, and OMG! I love the weight! My only regret is that it doesn't come in blue, as I'm not really a yellow, black, orange or red person. Maybe Invicta will come through for me!
